Soul Whyte’s flavour is urban music - from smooth neo-soul to hip hop and R&B .  He crosses genres and musical boundaries with his fresh style and sweet sound.  His voice is deep and rich.  He gets inside the song and is fearless before an audience.  Truly at home on stage, Soul Whyte has performed locally in Edmonton, Alberta in various shows - singing, rapping and putting his own spin on known tunes.

Soul Whyte started performing in public with a top ten rating at the 2006 Bounce Showdown, sponsored by radio station 91.7 the Bounce.  He trained with Cooper Studios.  Only a year later, at the 2007 Bounce Showdown, Soul Whyte was chosen as runner up by an esteemed panel of industry professionals.  Soul Whyte has appeared twice on City TV:  for an interview in March 2007 after singing at the Winter Games in the NWT and in May to sing an original song he wrote. Performing everywhere from local fund-raisers to trade shows, including a recent dinner for the Premier, Soul Whyte has been putting in work!  On Canada Day, he entertained at Edmonton City Hall and later in the summer, brought his show and back up dancer, Ali, to an appreciative crowd at the Big Valley Jamboree.   Since then, Soul Whyte has continued writing songs, collaborated with other talented song writers and recorded his album.
