Biography
Soul Whyte, (R&B, hip hop and soul) has been performing professionally since being chosen as Runner Up in 91.7 the Bounce Radio Showdown (2007). He has headlined his own concert, has appeared as a special guest of Souljah Fyah and has been selected to perform at Best Live-Toronto Independent Music Awards (date TBA). The commercial success of his first album, recorded when he was 14, has spurred him onto a serious commitment for his second album. At Canadian Music Week in Toronto, he started his collaboration with his producer, Aliby. From Alberta, Soul Whyte has been residing in Toronto part time since September to write songs with Aliby and Lincoln, and has been working hard in the studio. Balancing school, music and workouts, he is a driven artist who, at age 16, is ready for the next phase of his charmed music career. He continues to create and maintain strong connections with other artists and his fans. He is a member of Alberta Music, Socan, Songwriters of Canada, Urban Music Association of Canada, and Edmonton Musicians Association.
Soul Whyte is on the radio - “Take Off” the first single from his new second album is going to radio. His second album has a dedicated and talented writing team and is being produce by Aliby in Toronto.
3 singles from Soul Whyte’s first album, Locker 149, hit Top 40 radio in every province since its release: Suga Suga, All I Wanna Do (feat Jing) and Are You Ready?. Soul Whyte’s CD also received airtime all across Canada on University and College Radio and is on their playlists.
